WELCOME BACK! We hope you all had a great summer break, despite the disappointing weather. Training starts in earnest on Tuesday 2nd September (normal times). This term we have the Speedo Leagues, Team Gala, Club Championships and Plymouth City Championships, to name a few. Please keep an eye on the notice board for more information. |
Last Updated: 3rd September 2008 Welcome to Kingsbridge Kingfishers ! Kingsbridge Kingfishers first started in 1998 with the opening of the new 25m pool at Quayside Leisure Centre and since then we have competed in many friendly galas. We have also have trained many swimmers to compete in swim meets, county championships (we had over 60 entries to the main competition in 2004, 109 entries in 2005 and 126 entries in 2006). We have also sent swimmers to the Western Counties Championships for the last 5years!

TIMES & RESULTS: We regularly upload information from our results database to Team Manager Online, so if you want to know your PBs, rankings, meet entries etc, please click here and select what you want to view from the menu at the top of that page. The site has changed slightly - you now need to select SCM (short course metres) in the drop down box above the strokes and distances boxes! |

GALAS: The final round of the Cornwall and West Devon League couldn't have offered more excitement. Plymouth Leander lead from start to finish, but the real battle was between Kingsbridge, Newton Abbot and Dinnaton. The race for second changed hand virtually every race with the final scores being PL 160, Newton Abbot 119, KKSC 114, Dinnaton 113 The next galas coming up are as follows: Exeter Sprint Meet 21st September Plymouth City Championships 4th, 5th and 25th October |

PLYMOUTH CITY CHAMPIONSHIPS
Aaron Rickhuss and Laker Wong winners of BAGCAT awards at the Plymouth City Championships in November, were invited to a Reception with the Lord Mayor of Plymouth on 26th February to receive a shield commemorating their achievements.

SWIM 21: Kingsbridge Kingfishers was awarded Swim 21 accreditation (Skill Development Level - Silver) in May 2004. To see what this means to you click here. We have successfully renewed our accreditation in August 2008.

AGM AND COMMITTEE MEETINGS: The Annual General Meeting was held on Wednesday 31st October This was shortly followed by a committee meeting. Minutes from past meeting are now online and available here |
DEVON COUNTY SQUAD CALL UP FOR KKSC SWIMMERS Several KKSC swimmers have been selected to be part of the Devon 2007 to 2008 training squads. Those selected this year are: Laker Wong and Richard Forman (Performance Squad) and Ella Paddon (Skills Squad). Also Ella and Harriet Arscott were recently selected for the Devon Competitive Squad. Karen Dorey was lead coach for the Skills Squad. A big well done to all those swimmers above! |
