Swimmer's Pathways

Our swimmer's pathway is designed to give swimmers a clear vision for their swimming development.

Once a swimmer enters the club they would be, in most cases, following a continuation of Swim School. From there they would be taught the necessary skills in Bronze Squad. There are occasional Imp Galas throughout the year which are fun Galas that Bronze and Silver Squad swimmers are invited to. Once a swimmer is able, and the coaches feel ready, they would advance to Silver Squad. If a swimmer wishes to aim towards more competitive swimming they would be asked to swim a minimum of 2 training sessions per week and we expect all swimmers to compete and swim for the club if called upon.

For those swimmers who are swimming competitively, they would advance to Gold Squad, where we ask swimmers to train for a minimum of 3 sessions a week and all swimmers would be expected to compete for the Club. We also have a Masters Squad who train once a week.

Please note that ALL swimmers in KKSC would be expected to compete in our Club Championships each year.

There are no age restrictions for any of the squads as this is at the discretion of the coaches. If a swimmer has the necessary skills and wants to swim competitively we will not hold them back.

We are primarily a competitive swimming club and therefore we will be focusing more on our competitive swimmers, to give them the best opportunities to compete at the highest level that they wish to achieve
