Welcome to the online home of Kingsbridge Kingfishers

We are a friendly club with over 130 swimmers in three squads. We are based in Kingsbridge in the South Hams of Devon. We started in 1998 with the opening of the new 25m pool at Quayside Leisure Centre and the club continues to go from strength to strength each year.

Our swimmers compete in a range of team events including local friendly galas, the Cornwall and West Devon League and the National Arena League. Several swimmers have been selected to swim for Devon in inter-county competitions. Swimmers who qualify are supported at open meets as well as County, Western Region and National championships. The number of swimmers achieving at this level has increased year on year with our first National medallist taking the podium in 2009.

Please note that there are new arrangements for paying by standing order from September. Please see the recent email from Suzanne Gautier and contact her if you have any queries. It is very important that all fees are set up now, to make sure they are up-and-running by September.

Our club is affiliated to the Amateur Swimming Association, Devon County ASA and South West Region ASA. We are also proud of our Swim 21 accreditation.

For new swimmers joining the club it is important that they are placed in a group which matches their ability and for this reason if you are interested in joining us we would expect you to undertake a short assessment. These are held once per term on the last Thursday before each half term. To find out more or book a place, contact Karen Dorey via the Contact Us page.
