Chairpersons report
Adam opened the meeting and shared his report with those present.
The club is moving forward in a positive way with a great many changes in the past year including:
Club numbers increasing including a masters’ squad.
Increased entry and success at galas with more imminent
We now have 3 team managers who should be available to support at the next meets dependant on completion of safeguarding training and DBS clearances.
Sarah L is already qualified.
We do need more officials Adam S clarified he is to re-register and Mel J continues to officiate for us.
Financially the club is secure.
We are planning an increase in pool time with a new Monday morning session.
There are things we need to move forward further as a club.
More parent participation including poolside help and committee help.
We need more help with fundraising for essential items including new lane ropes, kick boards and pull boys. The club has made an application to the town council for a grant to help with this.
Adam closed his report to thank the hard-working committee, swimmers and coaches especially Karen, Head Coach for all her hard work in rebuilding the club.
Coaches/secretary’s report
Karen shared her report (See Attached )
She reflected Adams report being pleased with the great achievements that have been made over the past 12 months especially the Devon county qualifying times and JS regional qualifying time
She was pleased the club is moving forward in a positive way and is excited by what will be achieved during the forthcoming year.
She is pleased to have a good team of coaches and that CM is now a qualified swim teacher and coach she thanked them all for the time they give to the club.
Financial report
Danielle shared the financial report (Copy attached ).
The club is in a secure position at this time despite an increase in pool fees over the past 12 months of over 50 percent increased swimmer numbers and volunteer coaches has helped us absorb this to date.
It is likely with increased costs club fees will need to be reviewed at some stage.
Club Constitution Review
The KKSC Club Constitution dated 28th April 2022 has been reviewed. It did not require updating and it follows the Swim England recommended template released in January 2022. It was proposed to adopt this constitution. All present voted unanimously to adopt the KKSC Club Constitution dated 28th April 2022.
Chairman opened questions to the floor
JM shared fundraising ideas with the floor it was agreed many of these had been considered and were a good way of raising funds but with out some one willing to move these forward and with such a small committee at this time it was not proving possible to action these it was greed Adam would email parents using someone or a team take fundraising forward.
JW also discussed fundraising and the local town council grant.
