Swimwear Advice

You don't need a lot to get started at KKSC but getting the basics right makes training easier and more enjoyable. Here's our guide to swimwear, kit and everything else worth knowing before you hit the pool.

Girls: Swimming costume (not a bikini and only one suit to be worn)

Boys: Shorts (not board shorts), jammers (knee-length) or skimpies

All swimmers: Goggles, drink bottle, swim hat (compulsory for long hair), towel, kit bag or rucksack (optional)


Training more than once a week? Go for chlorine-resistant or endurance swimwear it'll last much longer.


Club swimwear is available via Swmzi. The shop opens several times a year parents and swimmers will be notified when it's live. Visit the Club Shop page for details.

Training Aids — Gold Squad

Recommended kit: Hand paddles (small for technique, larger optional for power), forward-facing snorkel with nose clip (recommended), fins, kickboards, pull buoys, mesh bag



Club-provided kit: Pull buoys, fins, hand paddles, kickboards if you're training more than 1–2 sessions a week, your own kit is worth getting.
